Create a countersunk hole

This example shows how to create a countersunk hole feature at the center of a circular edge.

1. Choose Home tab → Base group → Hole.
2. From the type list, select Countersunk.
3. Select Arc Center from Snap Options on the scene toolbar and then select a circular edge. NX displays a preview of the hole at the arc center of the circular edge.
4. Do the following:
   • In the Form group, select a Hole Size for the hole. For this example, we select Custom.
   • Set a value for other parameters in the group. For this example, we also set values for Hole Diameter, C-Sink Diameter, and C-Sink Angle.
   • In the Limit group, specify the method to determine the Depth Limit. For this example, we select Through Body so that the hole extends through the last face of the target body along the vector direction.
   • The hole preview updates based on the parameters you set.
5. Click OK to create the countersunk hole feature.

The Part Navigator displays the hole feature name, which indicates different hole information depending on the hole type you create. For example, if you set the Hole Diameter to 5 mm, the hole name is "Ø5 Countersunk Hole".
