Create a transition tube between tubes
This example shows you how to create a tube cage from an existing cage polyline, and sew it to two other regions.
This is an example of using multiple regions in the subdivision model. Sewing the regions together creates one final region.
Choose Home tab→Create group→Tube Cage .
In the Tube Cage dialog box, in the Cross Section group, set the following:
Size = 40
Number of Segments = 4
With Select Polyline active, select the three polylines, as shown.
Choose Home tab→Modify group→Sew Cage .
With Select Open Edges active, double-click the first set of open edges.
Middle-click to advance.
In the Side 2 group, with Select Open Edges active, double-click the adjacent set of open edges.
Click Apply.
You need to apply your changes because you are going to sew the other end of the tube.
Sew Cage is still active.
With Select Open Edges active, on the other end of the tube cage you created, double-click the first set of open edges.
In the Side 2 group, with Select Open Edges active, double-click the adjacent set of open edges.
Middle-click to apply and continue sewing, or select another NX Realize Shape command.
