Place multiple elbows on a path

Procedure

  1. Choose Home tab → Piping and Tubing group → Place Multiple Elbows.
  2. In the Elbow group, click Specify Elbow.
  3. To specify the type of elbow to place, in the Specify Item dialog box, do one of the following:
    • In the Selecting Existing Part group, make sure Select Part is active and, in the graphics window, select an existing elbow.
    • In the Reuse Library group, under Folder View, select the Routing Part Library → Elbow node, and then select an elbow to place.
    • Click OK.
  4. In the Routing Control Point at Corner group, make sure Select Routing Object is active, and then select one or more corner RCPs.
    • Tip: You can select multiple corner RCPs quickly using the Rectangle, Lasso, or Circle multiselect method.
  5. In the Part Options group, set the following:
    • Reference Set
    • Layer Options
  6. (Optional) In the Attributes group, click Attributes, set any of the Routing APV Defined attributes for the elbow instances, and then click OK.
  7. (Optional) To apply insulation to the elbows, in the Settings subgroup, select the Apply Default Overstock check box.
    • Note: You must first define a default overstock in the Routing preferences.
  8. Click OK.
    • If you select a nonorthogonal corner, a message informs you that the highlighted elbow at that corner was cut during placement.
  9. Click OK.

The elbow instances are placed on the path.
