Run Navigator — Compare command
The Compare command is used to determine if one design is essentially the same as another design. The greatest use of this feature is to assure that a 3D model is in agreement with a 2D diagram. The Compare command informs you that an item is:
- Missing — contained in the Compare Part but not in the work part.
- Extra — exists in the Work Part but not in the Compare Part.
- Discrepancy — the item exists in both parts but one or more characteristics do not match.
Further functionality guides you to rectify the differences between the parts:
- If an item is missing, the system prepares for new part placement.
- If an item is extra, the system prepares for part removal.
- If a discrepancy exists, the system can automatically rectify the characteristic mismatch.
