Using Routing applications > Routing Electrical > Electrical routing navigators
The Create Connection Wizard
Use the Create Connection Wizard to manually define electrical connection data in a part. The wizard provides an alternative to importing external connection data into the navigator.
Each step in the wizard guides you through the process of creating a connection. The steps have their own specific set of properties that you provide as you define the connection. Navigation buttons let you move back and forth between successive steps.
The steps below appear in the wizard's task navigator:
- Connection
- From Component
- To Component
- Intermediate Component
- Stock
- Summary
When sufficient information is present to create a connection, click Finish to generate it. After your connection data is complete, you can then use it to route wires or cables in the harness assembly, or export the data to an external file.
