Place Part

Use the Place Part command to add a standard part to a routing assembly.

You first select a standard part, such as a butterfly valve, from a part library. You then define the location and placement for your standard part in the routing assembly.

The placement of mountings and screw-seats is automatically updated when you change the dimensions of the stock or when you replace a fitting with another fitting of the same part type. If you use the Undo command to revert the change, the placement of the mounting or screw-seat reverts as well.

Note: You can also drag and drop a part from the Reuse Library and place it at the required location. For more information see Drag and drop routing objects from the Reuse Library.

We recommend that you select the part for placement in the Reuse Library or in the graphics window. When you select a part from the Loaded Parts list in the Specify Item dialog box, NX may not apply all the PTB or Classification attributes associated with the part.
