Convert stock features to component objects
Use the Convert to Stock as Components command to convert stock originally created as a model feature in the work part to stock as a component object of the Routing assembly.
A Routing stock is created either in the Legacy Stock mode (stock feature mode) or the Stock as Components mode. A part cannot contain a combination of stock features and stock components. Once a stock feature is converted by the Convert to Stock As Components command, it cannot be changed back to a legacy mode.
Note: To create stock only as a component object, select the Stock as Components check box on the Stock preferences tab. The same can be applied to space reservations with the Space Reservation as Components option.
