Sweep cage polylines to create an ice scraper
This example shows how to sweep polylines to create a swept subdivision body.
Choose Home tab→Polyline group→Extract Cage Polyline .
In the Extract Cage Polyline dialog box, in the Segments group, set the Number of Segments to 4.
With Select Curve active, select the end line, and then click Apply.
With Select Curve still active, select the far side spline, and then click Apply.
With Select Curve still active, select the near side spline.
Choose Home tab→Create group→Sweep Cage .
In the Sweep Cage dialog box, in the Sections group, with Select Face Edge or Polyline active, select the polyline extracted from the line.
In the Guides (2 Maximum) group, with Select Face Edge or Polyline active, select the far polyline.
Click Add New Set .
With Select Face Edge or Polyline active, select the near polyline.
Middle-click to apply or select another NX Realize Shape command.
You can complete the basic shape of the ice scraper by using Symmetric Modeling to create the other half and then extrude the sheet body to thicken it.
