Create a datum plane using a point and a direction

In this example, NX creates a datum plane through a specified arc center and parallel to a selected planar face.

1. Choose Home tab → Construction group → Datum Plane.
2. From the Plane Type list, select Point and Direction.
3. Select a point through which the datum plane must pass. (The arc center is selected.)
4. Click the middle mouse button to advance to the next step.
5. Select a planar face.
6. Choose another command or click Apply.
