Parallel Offset Path

Use the Parallel Offset Path command to create a rectangular or circular array of paths from or about a parent path. This is useful for generating multiple paths whose segments are equidistant from one another. The parent path is restricted to linear and arc segments; spline segments are not selectable.

The offset paths can be either associative or non-associative. If you modify the parent path, associative offset paths reflect the change.

Where do I find it?

  • Application: Routing Electrical or Routing Mechanical + a Routing specialty application
  • Command: Parallel Offset Path
  • Graphics window: Right-click a routing object → Parallel Offset Path

How do I

  • Create parallel offset paths from an existing path
