Stock step
Defines the properties of the connection stock.
Note: This step is not available unless Wire, Cable, or Shield is set as the Stock Type in the Connection Properties page.

| Select Wire / Select Cable / Select Shield | Lets you select wire, cable, or shield stock from the Routing Part Library. This option is sensitive to the Stock Type setting on the Connection step. |
| Part Name | NX Part Name of the stock. |
| Type | Typically used to designate a wire insulation type. |
| Gauge | The value of the wire gauge, if applicable. |
| Outer Diameter | Diameter of the stock in work part units. |
| Part Number | (part number for the stock) |
| Multiplier | The value multiplied by the modeled length to calculate the Cut Length. |
| Offset | The value added to the modeled length in order to calculate the Cut Length. |
| Class | The wire class, if applicable, can be set to: Regular, Stowed, Twisted. |
| Color | Color code of the stock. |
| Display Color | The color used when displaying the modeled stock. |
After clicking Finish from the Create Connection Wizard, NX copies the connection list contents of the topmost cable from the selected part to the work part. The name specified in the Create Connection Wizard is used for the target cable. If possible, NX reuses existing connectors and equipment based on the IDs of each. Otherwise, NX creates the connectors and equipment devices referenced by the connections under the cable. Routing and assignment information are not copied.
Summary step
The Summary reviews all parameters. This window displays a list of all specified options. You can use the Back button to edit any options. Choose Finish to create the connection when all information is correct.
