Copy and Paste

Use the Copy and Paste commands in NX Realize Shape to duplicate subdivision geometry between subdivision bodies and between parts.

  • You select subdivision geometry while in the NX Realize Shape task environment. You can have multiple selections.

  • To copy the subdivision geometry onto the clipboard, you can use one of several methods:

  • On the Quick Access Toolbar, click Copy .

  • Right-click the selection→select Copy.

  • Press Ctrl+C.

  • To paste the copied subdivision geometry in current part or in a different part, use one of several methods:

  • On Quick Access Toolbar, click Paste .

  • Right-click the selection→select Paste.

  • Press Ctrl+V

When you paste subdivision geometry to the current subdivision body or to a different part file:

  • The copied geometry appears at the same location and orientation as the source geometry.

  • The Paste dialog box and the Transform Tool become available.

Why should I use it?

Use the Copy and Paste commands to duplicate subdivision geometry in the current part or in a different part file and to keep certain aspects of a subdivision model uniform, in one part or across a range of parts.
