Create a primitive block

This example shows how you can create a block primitive for starting a NX Realize Shape design of a part that is basically rectangular in shape and has sharp edges.

  1. Choose Home tab→Create group→Primitive Shape .

  2. In the Primitive Shape dialog box, from the Type list, choose Block.

  3. Drag the Height, Length, and Width handles to change the size of the cage block.

  4. Middle-click to complete the block primitive

You can now use subsequent commands like Transform Cage and Set Continuity to further shape the cage as needed for your design.
