Creating a new Routing part

You can use an NX template to create a new routing part. When you use a template, NX initiates the part in the selected Routing application.

Procedure

1. Choose File tab → New.
2. Click the Route tab.
3. In the Filters group, from the Units list, select the desired model units.
4. In the Name column, select one of the following templates:
   • Routing Mechanical
   • Routing Electrical
5. Do one of the following:
   • If you are in native NX, accept the default part name and file path, or provide a custom name and path, and then click OK.
   • If you are in Active Workspace, in the Name and Attributes group, in the ID row, double-click the Value cell to auto-assign a default name and revision for the part, or provide a custom name and revision, and then click OK.
