Remove Part

Use Remove Part to delete standard parts from the routing assembly.

Note: Paths and stock may update differently in different situations. If the path segments existed prior to a part being placed on them, then the paths and any stock assigned to those paths will return to fill in the gap left when the part is removed. For the paths to fill the gap, the part's active reference set should include its ports at the time of its removal. If segments did not exist at that location where the part was originally placed, then the paths and stock do not fill in the area when the part is removed.

Where do I find it?

  • Application: Routing
  • Command: Remove Part
  • Dialog box: Choose Component — either choose or enter the component name to select all components of that name, or select individual occurrences from the graphics window.

After you choose OK, NX removes all selected parts and updates the routing assembly accordingly. Use Edit → Undo to restore the removed parts.
