Clean up problem faces of a surface

This example shows a workflow for fixing problem areas of a surface by removing poor face structure and updating the face structure with a simpler one.

Note the extra vertices in the face. These are due to previous subdivisions.

1. Choose Home tab→Edit group→Delete to remove the unwanted faces.

2. Choose Home tab→Create group→Fill to fill in between selected edges.

In this example, two edges are selected – that is enough edge information to interpolate the fill surface.

3. Use Edit tools such as Transform Cage and Merge Face to shape the fill face.
