Split a subdivision model by region

This example shows how to split a subdivision body of a motorcycle fairing into tow subdivision bodies based on its regions—one for the windshield and one for the fairing.

1. Choose Menu→Insert→NX Realize Shape→Split Subdivision Body .

2. Select the target body.

3. Click OK.

The original subdivision body is split into two subdivision bodies based on the regions in the model.

Note: To verify operation, hover over the windshield and fairing areas to highlight the separate subdivision bodies.

You can also select the new subdivision body features in the Part Navigator.
