Revolve a polyline converted from a spline
This example shows you how to extract a polyline from a spline and then revolve it about an axis to create a subdivision body.
Choose Home tab→Polyline group→Extract Cage Polyline .
In the Extract Cage Polyline dialog box, in the Settings group, set Input Curves to Hide.
Select the spline.
Choose Home tab→Create group→Revolve Cage .
With Select Face Edge or Polyline active, select the polyline.
Middle-click to advance.
With Specify Vector active, select the line.
With Select Point active, select the end point of the line.
Enter the following start and end angles:
Start Angle=180
End Angle=360
Note: If the arrow is pointing in the wrong direction, click Reverse Direction .
- Middle-click to apply or select another NX Realize Shape command.
