Routing Bill of Material (BOM)
Using the Parts List produces a Routing Bill of Material (BOM). Special attributes are used to compute and report cut lengths and standard quantity lengths. In the Routing applications, you account for unmodeled hardware such as nuts and bolts by creating attributes attached to invisible objects (UDOs). This topic defines how to use these attributes through the Routing BOM interface.
Parts list format definition
You can use the Routing BOM Parts List template provided, or you can modify it to suit your purposes. Note that a standard parts list format does not get modified by the Routing BOM tool. In order to create a customized Routing BOM Parts List template, you must start with one of the default templates, routing_bom_metric.prt or routing_bom_english.prt, and modify it.
Note: The default templates define the WEIGHT column type as General. If you want the sum of the weights when the quantity is greater than one, rather than the weight of a single piece, change the column type to Quantity.
