Bidirectional cross-probing
You can cross-probe components and connecting paths between the Capital Navigator and the NX 3D model.
When you select an object in the 2D diagram, the associated object(s) highlight in the graphics window and in the routing electrical navigators.
Conversely, selecting a component or path segment in the 3D model or in one of the electrical navigators highlights the corresponding object or route section in the 2D diagram.
Note: Cross-probing between ECAD-MCAD components works by matching object names in the Capital database with their counterparts in the NX harness assembly.
When a routing assembly is imported into the Teamcenter database, it is assigned a default item ID (system-generated number) as its name. In this case, the instance name in the Capital diagram no longer matches the NX component name, and cross-probing does not work.
Therefore, if you import native NX data into the Teamcenter database, it is recommended to retain the original component names.
