From Component step
This step defines the component from which the connection originates.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Component Name | NX Component Name |
| Part Name | The NX part name of the component |
| Component Type | Select: Connector, Splice, Device, Other |
| From Device | Lets you select the originating device. This value appears in the from_device column of the connection list. |
| From Conn | Lets you select the originating connector. This value appears in the from_conn column of the connection list. |
| From Pin | Lets you select the pin from which the connection originates. This option is necessary only if you are routing wires at the pin level. |
If the component does not yet exist in the assembly, click Place Part to select a component.
