Generate routing segments from sketch curves

This example shows how to generate routing segments from a sketch. The sketch in this example consists of three lines, two fillets, and a spline at the lower end.

Procedure

1. Choose Home tab → Path group → Connected Curves.
2. In the Settings group, set the check boxes for: Lines, Arcs, Splines, Component Curves.
3. Select a sketch line or fillet. NX chain-selects all the lines and fillets, but excludes the spline.
4. In the Settings group, select the Splines check box.
5. Select the sketch spline, and then click OK.

NX creates routing segments on top of the sketch objects. Their RCPs appear in the graphics window.

6. In the Part Navigator, under the Model History node, right-click the sketch feature and choose Hide.

The routing segments remain visible in the graphics window.
