NX Realize Shape > Creating subdivision models > Mirror Cage
Mirror Cage
Use the Mirror Cage command to create a copy of selected cage geometry that is mirrored across a specified plane.
Works on cage faces and cage polylines.
The mirrored cage geometry is not associative.
**Example:
Polylines selected.
Plane for mirroring specified.
Mirror plane can be offset.
Polylines ready for subsequent operations, such as lofting.
Why should I use it?
You can use Mirror Cage to create symmetric geometry that is intended to be unassociated.
Mirror Cage is especially useful with cage polylines because unlike Symmetric Modeling, Mirror Cage supports the selection of cage polylines.
