NX Realize Shape Preferences dialog box

Display Mode

Offers three choices of display when working in NX Realize Shape:

Cage and Body

Displays both the control cage and the subdivision body.

Cage Only

Displays only the control cage.

Body Only

Displays only the B-surface body.

Cage Object Display

Line Color

Sets the color of cage edges. Select a color from the Color dialog box.

Line Style (Smooth Edge) and Line Style (Sharp Edge)

Specifies the line style for cage edges.

Line Width

Specifies the line widths for cage edges. Choose a value between 0.18mm and 2.00mm.

Show Weight

Displays the percentage values of weights assigned to cage edges.

Vertex Color

Sets the color of cage vertices. Select a color from the Color dialog box.

Vertex Style

Specifies the symbol for cage vertices

• Square

• Triangle

• Circle

• Plus

• Cross

Vertex Size

Specifies the size of the vertices: Small, Medium or Large.

X-ray Cage

Displays the hidden cage objects.

Polyline Display

Line Color

Sets the color of polylines. Select a color from the Color dialog box.

**Example:

Line Style

Specifies the line style for cage polylines.

**Example:

Line Width

Specifies the line widths for cage polylines. Choose a value between 0.18mm and 2.00mm.

**Example:

Vertex Style

Specifies the symbol for cage polylines. The options are the same as for Cage Object Display.

**Example:

If you choose a vertex style, you can also specify the vertex color and size.

Highlight Face Transparency

Percentage

Sets the transparency of selected cage faces from 0% to 100%.

Set to 100%, selected cage faces are completely transparent.

Set to 0%, selected cage faces are completely opaque.

Control Cage Selection

Allow Backside Selection

Let’s you select control cage objects hidden by other cage faces.
