Using Routing applications > Common Routing tools > Path > Assign Corner
Assign Corner
Use this command to assign a corner at an RCP between two non-parallel linear segments.
You can:
- Create a corner at the vertex of two or more stocks.
- Edit a corner to change the position and orientation of the stock.
- Change the type of the corner from mitered to cope, or cope to mitered (mitered corner vs. cope corner).
- Create a corner based on an inner radius. For example, for two rectangular ducts anchored at the center, the bend radius is calculated based on the value of the inner radius.
- Derive a corner radius from a bend table spreadsheet.
- Create a corner based on a ratio of the stock's outer diameter or a library-defined attribute associated with the stock on the path.
When you create bend corners, you can select an attribute from a predefined list of attributes for bend corners. You can use templates to predefine the attributes, or you can import the attributes from an XML file into the templates. The corner segment and corner RCP inherit the attributes of the corner object.
Tip: To create the templates, choose File tab → Utilities → Attribute Templates.
Where do I find it?
- Application: All Routing applications
- Command: Assign Corner
- Graphics window: Right-click a corner RCP → Assign Corner
How do I
- Assign a bend radius from spreadsheet data
- Cope an I-beam at a junction
- Apply an S-bend between linear segments
- Apply a U-bend to a path
