Qualifying a device

You qualify a device in the same manner as a connector. A device can have one or more fitting ports or one or more multi ports that you can route to.

The difference between qualifying a device and qualifying a connector is the use of unique_id and connector_id values in the component list. When you import data into NX, these values differentiate a device from a connector. Devices can have only a unique_id value. Connectors can have only a connector_id value or both connector_id and unique_id values.
