Editing datum planes
When editing a datum plane, you can:
- Change its parameters and parent geometry, when allowed by its defined Plane Type.
- Change its Plane Type.
- Convert a relative datum plane to fixed by clearing the Associative option box, or by changing its Plane Type to that of a fixed method.
- Convert a fixed datum plane to relative by changing its Plane Type to a relative (non-fixed) method.
- Move a fixed datum plane by choosing Home tab → Edit Feature group → Move Feature.
How do I
- Create a datum plane using Infer
- Create a datum plane using offset
- Create a datum plane using a point and a direction
- Create a datum plane at an angle
- Create a datum plane midway between planar faces
- Create a datum plane through three points
- Create a datum plane using coefficients
- Size and resize datum planes
