Articulate the shape of a face
This example shows how to create a more articulated shape on the bottom face of a cosmetic bottle. A cage face is subdivided and then translated in the NX Realize Shape task environment.
Choose Home tab→Modify group→Subdivide Face .
Select the face you want to subdivide.
Drag the Scale handle to create the offset, or enter a value in the dialog box.
Choose Home tab→Modify group→Transform Cage .
In the Transform Cage dialog box, select the Transform tab.
With Select Object active, select the face to move.
Drag the Z-Translate handle downward to create a depression in the bottom of the bottle.
Middle-click to complete the transformation.
