Bridge faces to connect regions

This example shows how to bridge cage faces to span subdivision regions.

  1. Choose Home tab→Create group→Bridge Face .

  2. In the Face Set 1 group, with Select Object active, select faces from the first region that are to be bridged.

  3. In the Face Set 2 group, click Select Object and then select faces from the second region that are to be bridged.

The number of cage faces in Face Set 1 and Face Set 2 must be the same.

  1. In the **Bridge Face ** dialog box, ensure the following:
  • Segmentation group:

  • Number of Segments = 1

  • Settings group:

  • Continuity = Smooth

  1. Middle-click to Apply.

  2. Repeat the Bridge Face procedure above to create the bottom, vertical bridge, in a similar manner.

  3. Choose Finish when done.
