Routing Reuse Library
The Reuse Library is a navigation tool, like Assembly Navigator and Part Navigator. The library displays reusable objects such as standard parts and user defined features in a hierarchical tree structure. See Data Reuse in NX for more details on the NX Reuse Library.
You can use the NX Reuse Library while using all Routing applications. Siemens has filled the gaps between NX Reuse Library and Routing-specific needs by providing a complete integration with Part Library View (.plv) and Part table (.ptb) files, replacing the legacy mechanism for placing parts and assigning stocks using Specify Item with the core NX solution — enabling a single point of entry for those who have reusable part libraries in Routing. This results in increased consistency with the rest of NX applications and a reduced learning curve.
You do not need to alter the existing configuration in order to take advantage of Reuse Library inside Routing. When any of the Routing applications are launched, the Reuse Library populates with data using the existing application view configuration.
Where do I find it?
- Application: Routing Mechanical, Routing Electrical, or Routing Logical
- Ribbon bar: Tools tab → Reuse Library group
- Menu: Tools → Reuse Library
How do I
- Search Children of selected node
- Searching the Routing Part Library with direct Teamcenter Classification integration
- Drag and drop routing objects from the Reuse Library
- Place routing objects from reuse library
