Using Routing applications > Routing Electrical > Formboard
Create Formboard Drawing
Use the Create Formboard Drawing command to create a manufacturing drawing for Routing Electrical harnesses. You must define the harnesses that you want to flatten and specify the part file in which you want to save the flattened harnesses.
Creating a formboard from multiple harnesses
You can create a formboard drawing from multiple harnesses only if the harnesses are fully connected through geometry that shares at least one segment, or they have reference connectors that are attached with a port-to-port connection. NX ignores connections between harnesses that are made through devices.
Creating a formboard drawing from independently modeled components of a harness
You can create a formboard drawing from a harness that contains independently modeled components, such as routing paths and connectors. To do this, you must WAVE link the paths from the components into the assembly. You can also create an annotation that displays the length of the WAVE-linked path in the formboard.
