Create a screw clearance hole
This example shows how to create a counterbored screw clearance hole feature at the center of circular edge.
- Choose Home tab → Base group → Hole.
- From the type list, select Counterbored.
- In the Form group, from the Hole Size list, select Screw Clearance.
- Select Arc Center from Snap Options on the scene toolbar and then select a circular edge. NX displays a preview of the hole at the arc center of the circular edge.
- In the Form group, select Screw Type, Screw Size, and Fit. For this example, we set the following:
- Screw Type = Socket Head, 4762
- Screw Size = M10
- Fit = Normal (H13)
- Click OK to create the screw clearance hole feature.
The Part Navigator displays the hole feature name, which indicates the hole size, screw type, and screw size: "M10 Socket Head, 4762 Screw Clearance Hole".
