Create a watertight penetration
This example shows how to create additional hardware around pipes that penetrate a wall in an assembly.
Procedure
- Choose Home tab → Utilities group → Watertight Fittings.
- In the Flange group, click Select Curve and then select the curves from which you want to create a watertight fitting.
- Specify the following parameters:
- Offset = 50
- Thickness = 50
- In the Members group, click Select Routing Object and then select the routing objects that you want to make watertight.
- In the Part Name group, click Specify Name. The Watertight Fittings Part Name dialog box is displayed.
- In the Name box, type
watertight_subassembly_example.prtand click OK. The namewatertight_subassembly_exampleis displayed in the Part Name group in the Watertight Fittings dialog box. - In the Watertight Fittings dialog box, in the Attributes group, specify:
- End1 Painting Condition =
example1 - End2 Painting Condition =
example2
- End1 Painting Condition =
- Click OK to create a watertight subassembly.
A watertight subassembly is created and displayed in the Assembly Navigator as watertight_subassembly_example.
