Transform Path

Use the Transform Path command to move or copy a routing path to a different position (e.g. copying a branch to additional locations, or copying a Tee joint dynamically from one pipe to another).

You can:

• Move or copy components, stocks, segments, routing control points, and connected parts. NX subdivides a segment automatically when you copy another segment onto it.
• Copy objects from one assembly to another assembly. You can maintain constraints when you move or copy routing objects across assemblies. If the destination is valid, NX connects the routing objects at the selected destination automatically.
• Create U-shaped paths from straight paths.

Moving or copying objects that have attributes

You can move or copy routing objects that have the following attributes:

• Stationary or source attributes that you want to continue at the new destination. (Note: characteristics that are unique to a single fitting or stock, such as REFERENCE_ID, are declared as stationary characteristics in the APV file.)
• Destination attributes that you want to inherit from the selected destination.

When you move or copy an object within the same assembly or across assemblies, you can inherit specified attributes from the destination assembly. Alternatively, you can also specify a reference object from the destination assembly — the moved or copied objects inherit attributes from the specified reference object.
