Revolve and unite a section

This example shows how to revolve a sketch section and unite it with the counterweight.

Procedure

1. Select Top Border bar → Type Filter list → Sketch.
2. Right-click the section and select Revolve.
3. To advance to Axis specification, click the middle mouse button.
4. To define the revolve direction, click the Z datum axis.
   • The software infers that the rotation point for this revolve is on the datum axis.
5. In the Limits group, enter –45 in the Start Angle box and 45 in the End Angle box.
6. In the Boolean group, select Unite.
   • Because there are no other solids in the part, the software automatically selects the counterweight.
7. Click OK.
