Create a datum plane through three points
The following example shows how to create a datum plane that contains three specified points.
- Choose Home tab → Construction group → Datum Plane.
- From the Plane Type list, select Curves and Points. In the Curves and Points Subtype group, from the Subtype list, select Three Points.
- Specify the first point (this example uses the arc center in the top face).
- Specify the second point (arc center on the bottom inside face).
- Specify the third point (an End Point on the bottom surface).
- Choose another command or click Apply.
