Create a datum plane through three points

The following example shows how to create a datum plane that contains three specified points.

1. Choose Home tab → Construction group → Datum Plane.
2. From the Plane Type list, select Curves and Points. In the Curves and Points Subtype group, from the Subtype list, select Three Points.
3. Specify the first point (this example uses the arc center in the top face).
4. Specify the second point (arc center on the bottom inside face).
5. Specify the third point (an End Point on the bottom surface).
6. Choose another command or click Apply.
