Extrude a polyline to create a solid body

In this example, a polyline is dragged to create a sheet, and then the sheet is dragged to create a solid.

  1. Create the polyline.

  2. Choose Home tab→Create group→Extrude Cage .

  3. On the Top Border bar, from the Type list, choose Curve.

  4. With Select Curve active, select the polyline.

  5. Drag the polyline to the desired width.

  6. Right-click and choose Apply.

You need to apply your changes, because you are going to extrude another set of edges.

Extrude Cage is still active.

  1. On the Top Border Bar, set the following:
  • From the Type list, select Cage Face.

  • From the Selection list, select Region.

  1. Select any face in the extrusion you just created.

  2. Drag the desired thickness.

  3. Middle-click to complete the extrusion or select another NX Realize Shape command.
