NX Realize Shape > Creating subdivision models > Cage from Facet Body
Cage from Facet Body
Use the Cage from Facet body command to create an NX Realize Shape control cage from regions on a convergent body.
You can:
Select a whole convergent body to create a cage around it, or select regions on a convergent body to create a cage face.
Specify an average face size, which determines how closely the cage follows the input body.
Display the deviations between the input regions and the resulting subdivision faces of the output cage.
After you create the cage, you can modify and refine the surface using other NX Realize Shape commands.
