Calculating bundle weights
If the part tables that define cables, shields, and wires contain a weight or density attribute, Routing calculates the proper solid body density of a bundle of cables, shields, and wires. You can then use NX Analysis to determine the weight of the entire harness. If the part tables do not contain any weight or density attributes, the weight of the bundle is zero.

If some, but not all, the wires in a bundle contain a weight, Routing assigns the part's default density to the bundle. When this happens, Routing warns you that some of the wires are missing their weight attributes:
The resulting bundle of connections has been assigned the work part density due to missing weight or density attributes.
Routing also writes information to the log file explaining which connections are missing weights (e.g., "The following connections did not have a weight or density attribute...").
If wires in a cable are routed along different paths, the wires' weights are used on those segments.
If a cable does not have a weight attribute but its wires do, Routing uses the wires' weights to determine the total cable weight.
