Define a run
This example shows how to create a run using a routing object or stock as the From item and a run identifier as the To item. You can edit the run to add To items and Member items.
Procedure
- Choose Menu → Tools → Run Navigator → Create Run.
- In the Define Run dialog box, in the From Items group, Select Object is highlighted.
- Select the routing object or stock that you want to use as the starting point of the run.
- The selected object appears in the List box along with all the used ports on the object.
- In the List box, select the routing object or stock that you want to use.
- All the used ports on the selected object appear in the Used Ports list.
- In the Used Ports list, select the port from which you want to start the run.
- In the To Items group, in the Virtual Reference Identifier box, enter an alphanumeric value.
- This example uses the value
EndPoint. - This value creates a placeholder for the To Items in the Run Navigator and adds
EndPointto the List box in the To Items group.
- This example uses the value
- In the Properties group, in the Run Identifier box, specify an alphanumeric value and press Enter.
- This example uses the value
NewRun.
- This example uses the value
- Click OK.
A run called NewRun is created in the Run Navigator.
