Introduction / Overview
GRIP NC lets you build NX Manufacturing tool paths through programming code instead of interactive dialogs. Programs are written using GRIP NC Statements, Global Parameter Access symbols (GPAs), and Entity Data Access symbols (EDAs).
This guide assumes familiarity with both the interactive Manufacturing applications and base GRIP.
Structure of the guide:
- Common Functions — GRIP NC information shared across most operation types.
- Per-operation-type topics (Point to Point, Planar Milling, Surface Milling, Lathe, Wire EDM, etc.) — detailed GRIP NC Statements, GPAs, and EDAs specific to that NX operation type. Each such topic ends with a list of GPAs usable with that operation, including their data types, so you know what value types are appropriate for the GPA.
