Saving a measurement expression and length label
You can save the path length value as a Measure [Curve] feature. This feature appears in the Part Navigator under the Model History node, and contains a parametric expression related to the length of the path.
You can append a length label to the path in the graphics window. If you create a label when you save the Measure [Curve] feature, that label becomes associative to the feature expression and reflects any updates to it.
If you create a length label but do not save a Measure [Curve] feature, then the label is non-associative and does not update.
- To remove a non-associative length label, right-click it in the graphics window and choose Delete.
- If you only saved the length expression, you can create an associative label by right-clicking the Measure [Curve] feature in the Part Navigator and choosing Display Dimensions.
- To hide the length label in the view, right-click it in the graphics window and choose Hide, or right-click the Measure [Curve] feature and choose Hide Dimensions.
- To delete the measurement expression, in the Part Navigator, right-click the Measure [Curve] feature and choose Delete. The associated view label is likewise removed.
