Offset Cage
Use the Offset Cage command to offset selected cage faces as one or more copies at a specified distance.
Offset cage faces are roughly normal to input cage faces.
The offset cage faces are not associative.
**Example:
Sphere primitive modified to approximate human head shape.
Offset Cage is used to form outside surface of helmet.
Additional NX Realize Shape commands are used to trim and refine the helment design.
Why should I use it?
You can quickly offset cage faces as the starting point for a separate subdivision body that interfaces with the parent subdivision body.
