Split Face

Use the Split Face command to divide selected faces into multiple faces for more detailed and local shape editing.

There are two methods: Uniform and Along Polyline.

Uniform divides the selected faces along a selected reference edge, and the edge most parallel to it, into as many divisions as specified.

For example:

Cylinder primitive is the start primitive.

The cylinder is split into five sections.

Split lines can be dragged to specific locations.

Other NX Realize Shape commands are used for further shape editing.

Along Polyline divides selected faces along lines defined by points.

The points can be End Points, Mid-Points, Existing Points, Points on Curve, or Point on Face.

For example:

Rectangle primitive is the start primitive.

Points are located for the polyline split.

Other NX Realize Shape commands are used for further shape editing.
