Measure a path's length and minimum radius of curvature
Procedure
- Choose Analysis tab → Measure group → Measure.
- Click Object Set.
- Make sure Measurement Method is set to Free.
- On the scene toolbar, from the Curve Rule list, select Tangent Curves.
- Select a segment in the path. The entire path is selected, and a scene dialog displays the total path length and its minimum radius of curvature.
- For each measurement, turn on the following:
- Associative — to create an associative feature for the measurement.
- Display Annotation — to display the measurement as an associative annotation in the graphics window.
- Click OK.
A Measure feature appears in the Part Navigator, and an associative length annotation attaches itself to the path in the graphics window.
If the path length or its smallest bend radius changes, the Measure feature and its associated annotation update.
