NX Realize Shape > Modifying subdivision geometry > Project Cage
Project Cage
Use the Project Cage command to project selected parts of a control cage to a plane, line, arc, or spline.
When projecting to a plane, your selected faces, edges, or vertices are projected.
When projecting to a line, arc, or spline, your selected edges or vertices are projected.
This can be useful to:
Align parts of the control cage to existing geometry outside the subdivision body or to the control cage itself.
Make faces coplanar in preparation to merge them, or to use them with Symmetric Modeling.
