Project Cage

Use the Project Cage command to project selected parts of a control cage to a plane, line, arc, or spline.

  • When projecting to a plane, your selected faces, edges, or vertices are projected.

  • When projecting to a line, arc, or spline, your selected edges or vertices are projected.

This can be useful to:

  • Align parts of the control cage to existing geometry outside the subdivision body or to the control cage itself.

  • Make faces coplanar in preparation to merge them, or to use them with Symmetric Modeling.
