Create a hole on a nonplanar surface

This example shows how to create a hole feature on a nonplanar surface.

  1. Choose Home tab → Base group → Hole.
  2. From the type list, select Simple.
  3. In the Form group:
    • From the Hole Size list, select Custom.
    • Set the hole diameter.
  4. Select a point on a nonplanar surface or create a sketch point to use as the arc center of the hole. For this example, we select an existing point on a curved surface.
  5. In the Direction group, select the Hole Direction. For this example, we select Normal to Face.
  6. Click OK to create the hole feature.
