Lock Part
Use the Lock Part command to create, edit, and delete assembly constraints between connected ports. Locking parts assures that components remain attached. For example, you can lock the clocking angle of a part so that the angle remains constant.
Assembly constraints
You can use several constraints with the port to port assembly constraint. The Lock Part dialog box allows you to create these constraints when Assemblies Constraints are active.
The Lock Part functionality has been modified to reflect the functionality available in the Assemblies Constraints dialog box. The constraints are bidirectional.
Building constraints
The behavior for the non-DCM3 and DCM3 version of Lock Part; the operations below also apply to the Place Part dialog box, which builds mating conditions (and now Assemblies Constraints) to parts placed onto other parts:
